The "do you want to shred all files" confirmation window is not ovelapped by other windows under Windows 7/Vista now when shredding files from the windows explorer's context menu.

Released Crypt4Free 5.3.8. Progress windows have own buttons on the windows taskbar when encrypting files from shell context menu (context menu of Windows Explorer)..

Since this version, every popup window, like the Progress Window, the Ask Confirmation window, the Log window has own button in the Windows Toolbar when processing files (encrypting,shredding and etc) from context menu of Windows Explorer.

So, it is easily to activate the progress window by clicking its button on the taskbar.

This version has some other minor bug fixes and enhancements. For example, the log window is displayed even when it is disabled in program options when error occured during secure file deletion.

Crypt4Free 5.3.6 - Improved the re-encrypt behaviour under Windows 7. Improved behaviour of double-click->edit->reencrypt functionality under Windows 7.

Crypt4Free has nice possibility to work with encrypted files with ease with its click & edit feature.

To use this feature, you need to double click the encrypted file in your Windows Explorer. Crypt4Free will intercept this file and ask you for a password.

After providing correct password the decrypted document will be opened in the associated application (for example encrypted Text File will be opened in Notepad, encrypted Word Document will be opened in Microsoft Word and etc).

Now you work with the document as usually. Then you close the application (Word, Notepad and etc).

Crypt4Free detects this situation and checks - whether the file was changed or not.

If yes, Crypt4Free shows the message:

In previous versions of Crypt4Free this message was located under other windows on Windows 7.

Since this version, this message is always visible because it is located on the top of other windows.

Crypt4Free 5.3.0 - Added AutoUpdate ability. Crypt4Free can now update itself to newer version automatically.

It was no very comfortable for our users to upgrade to newer versions of Crypt4Free. It was needed to uninstall previous version, then download new one and install it again.

Now, since this 5.3.0 version  the process is pretty simple!

Just click the "Upgrade to xx.xx" button in the "New version detected window" and Crypt4Free will download the new version and install it fully automatically!

Released Crypt4Free 5.2.2. Ctrl-Space hot key now provides more information about selected files/folders...

In previous version we added statistics about file types in the selected directories. It displayed 3 top types of files in these directories. For example: "29 EXE (14%), 26 BMP (13%), 25 JPG (12%)".Now it shows more information.

Released Crypt4Free 5.1.9. Redesigned Start button. Now it indicates the status of current operation. See screenshot here. Also we fixed some bugs..

We removed the green image of Start button. Now, this button displays the status of current operation, for example: "Encrypt Now", "Decrypt Now", "Encrypt by Public Key", "Securely Delete" and etc. So, now it is easier to use the program.

Also, the previous version has the bug: it displayed the message "new version detected" when the installed product version was the same as the latest version on the server. We fixed this situation.

Released Crypt4Free 5.1.8. Now our free encryption/decryption utility can check its website for the new version of the program automatically..

Now, Crypt4Free is able to detect new version on its web site and show the complete information about this new version including all new features and the list of all fixed bug.
