So, it is easily to activate the progress window by clicking its button on the taskbar.

This version has some other minor bug fixes and enhancements. For example, the log window is displayed even when it is disabled in program options when error occured during secure file deletion.

With new command line switch -SHOWFULLPATH or -SFP it does not truncate the path now.

AEP PRO has nice possibility to work with encrypted files with ease with its click & edit feature.

To use this feature, you need to double click the encrypted file in your Windows Explorer. AEP will intercept this file and ask you for a password.

After providing correct password the decrypted document will be opened in the associated application (for example encrypted Text File will be opened in Notepad, encrypted Word Document will be opened in Microsoft Word and etc).

Now you work with the document as usually. Then you close the application (Word, Notepad and etc).

AEP detects this situation and checks - whether the file was changed or not.

If yes, AEP shows the message:

How to edit encrypted file or document

In previous versions of AEP this message was located under other windows on Windows 7.

Since this version, this message is always visible because it is located on the top of other windows.

Users of AEP PRO reported about strange bug. When it was installed on Windows 7 64-bit, it blocked some system commands of context menu like Computer->Manage, Run As..

We were able to reproduce this situation and fixed this bug. Now shell context menu works fine under 64-bit version of Windows 7.

Since version 5.0.0 AEP PRO supports ability to decrypt & edit file in single mouse click.

I.e. it is possible to double-click the encrypted file in Windows Explorer (or any other program), enter password and work with the file in the associated application. When this application is closed, AEP automatically re-encrypts the file using the same password.

In this version, we extended this functionality. When the decrypted file is opened in the associated application, but it is not changed, AEP does not keep the decrypted file. It securely deletes it now.

Also, we redesigned this password window. It was simplified. Some options were removed from this window.
