Released AEP PRO 5.0.0. Added ability to decrypt files/folders automatically using keys located on USB sticks.

February 1, 2009

In this version we added new important feature. Ability to decrypt files using your USB stick. Yes, you know, in previous version you were also able to load key from USB. But now, AEP can find suitable decryption key (PKI or symmetric) for each file!

I.e. now you do not need to remember what key did you use for different file encryption. You just select some files/folders (in main GUI program or in Windows Explorer), click Decrypt, click "Find password on USB" then click go.

AEP fill try every decryption password/key on every USB stick to decrypt every your file.

Now it is very simple! Just connect USB stick to the USB port, select files, then click decrypt. That is all! Even if you have many different keys on USB stick.

Released AEP PRO 4.9.1 - Improved encrypted self-extracting module. SFX module - added checkbox "Delete this exe file after extraction".

December 28, 2008

As you know, AEP can create self-extracting (self-decrypting) versions of encrypted files. SFX file is just usual executable file containing encrypted date inside the file. When this SFX file is launched, it asks for password to continue. Then it decrypts itself. It is very useful feature when you want to send encrypted file via internet to the recipient who does not has AEP software.

In this version we added checkbox "Delete this exe file after extraction" to the SFX module. I.e. after providing right password, launched SFX file will extract hidden content into external file and then this SFX file will be self-destroyed.
